Cooling Tower Film Fills
Our cooling tower fills are engineered to offer high wetted surface area with low pressure drop in an aerodynamic, durable design. Open, angular cross-corrugations allow debris and biological growth foulant to pass, while providing maximum surface area and turbulence to develop efficient heat transfer.
The film fill is a bottom support low-clog log fill configuration. Texturing on the surface creates thermal capability improvement with little effect on fouling. Fills sheets are designed to be 200 microns in thickness, which is the recommended CTI standard.
Standard fills are made of UV-inhibited, chemical resistant PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and are available in black and blue colours.
Fills can also be provided in ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) for high temperature applications exceeding 55 Degrees Celsius.
Fill sizes can be customized to client requirements, and the standard sizes are 600mmx300mmx150mm.
Fills are available in the following honeycomb sizes :
- 12 mm - This is the most common, and offers the highest wetted surface area
- 19 mm - Offers a good blend of decent wetted surface area and low clogging capacity
- 27 mm - Offers ultra low-clogging capacity
Cooling Tower Splash Fills
Cooling Tower Splash fills are designed to fit in inside the tower in a vertical grid. They are designed to offer zero maintenance operation.
Splash fills are typically used when the dissolved and non-dissolved solvents in the water are very high. These fills are especially useful in ETP effluent treatment plants and waste management systems.
Splash fills are available in the following materials :
- PVC - UV-inhibited, chemically inert Polyvinyl Chloride
- Pultruded FRP - Extreme durability and strength for high TDS applications
Cooling Tower Trickle Fills
Trickle fills are the latest development designed as an alternative to Splash fills. They offer easy installation and removal. Like Splash fills, these are completely clog free and maintenance free. They are also made from Polypropylene.
The surface microstructure facilitates air/water mixing and increases the surface cooling area. The added advantage is that they can withstand foot traffic.
